One of the oldest and most common queue management methods is using audio paging systems with displays. The system is composed of three parts, including the keypad, display receiver and audio announcements. The operator can use the keypad to page the customer whose turn has come and put his designated number on the display; also, the number is announced through the speakers in the entire place.

Given its specific purpose as a queue management system and due to being an economical option which helps maintain order, the audio paging system is used in restaurants and food courts. It can also be used in fast food bars, ice cream shops, banks, hospitals, clinics, doctors` offices, government offices, factories and companies.
